Mr. [Hossein] Mozaffar, [a member of the Expediency Council and former Minister of Education], came. In the afternoon, Mr. Dr. Ramadan [Abdullah Shalah], the head of [the] Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine came. He said that in the recent attack in the [refugee camp] of Jenin, 55 martyrs have been identified so far, 17 of whom are from Jihad. He stated that in total, around 250 people have been martyred and about four thousand have been detained in the recent Israeli military attacks. The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, which are part of the Fatah organization, have returned to the policy of armed struggle.

In Afghanistan, four American soldiers and eight people who were elected for the Loya Jirga have been killed.
