Sara [Fati's daughter] was going to school for the first time. Fati made films and photos and held ceremonies. I also gave a gift: two hundred tomans pocket money in his school. I came to my office at half past eight in the morning. Mr. Hashemi [Golpayegani] came to organize the program of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution.

The presidents of the universities came. I spoke to them about the importance of the mission of higher education. It was decided to give each of the presidents of the universities a sum of money for turning hands. The deputies, Messrs. [Sydmansour] Razavi, [Hamid] Mirzadeh, [Hasan] Habibi and [Reza] Amrollahi, each came for their respective areas of work. Dr. Velayati came. He gave the report of his trip to Malaysia and Bangladesh and asked for opinions about some ambassadors and deputy.

I spoke on the phone with the ministers of the interior, heavy industries and mines and metals about their affairs. In the evening, we went to the opening of the international exhibition. I gave a speech and visited the booths of heavy industries and manufacturing industries and Kish. I returned to my office.

I participated in the meeting of the heads of forces in the office of Mr. [Mahdi] Karroubi [Speaker of the Islamic Council]. Roger Cooper [an Englishman accused of espionage] was decided. Ahmad Agha asked Mr. [Mohammed] Yazdi [Chief of the Judiciary] about the removal of Mr. [Ashikh Mohammad] Hashemian from the Justice Department of Rafsanjan. Our meeting was scheduled to be every other week. I slept in the headquarters at night to start tomorrow's work early in the morning. I filled out the form of my property and that of my first degree relatives in the implementation of Article 142 of the Constitution for the judiciary.
