After prayer and lunch, we discussed with Mr. [Mohsen] Rezaei about war and peace and the IRGC and the army.

In the evening, from four to seven, we negotiated with the commanders of the IRGC units that are on the line, about the amount of troops and their needs and the status of their line. They are worried about the future of the army. After Maghrib and Isha prayers, the future of the IRGC was discussed with the higher-level commanders of the IRGC. are worried There is ambiguity. While I assured them about the good future of the IRGC, I don't have a clear picture myself. Various possibilities were proposed. They do not have a specific offer. They decided to consult more to give a comprehensive plan.

We flew from Ahvaz to Tehran at half past nine and arrived in Tehran at half past ten. We had dinner on the plane. Mr. [Mohammed Javad] Larijani announced the occurrence of problems in the Geneva negotiations.
