After the morning prayer, I worked until half past seven. Dr. Rouhani came. We negotiated about the war and the transfer of the responsibility of the army from the Imam to Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei, and about the Ministry of Defense and the Air and Ground Forces and the future operations and the formation of the advisory headquarters for the command and support of the war. Mr. Rahmati, the representative of Shahreza, came and told about the needs of Khark and Ahvaz.

The members of the Guidance Commission came and talked about the follow-up of the insulting letter that was published in the name of a group of representatives. They especially complained about the news agency of the Islamic Republic [IRNA], which included it in the [special confidential] bulletin. Agha Gharehi [Oil Minister] brought the group that closed the burning well in the Persian Gulf and they reported. I appreciated them.

A group of Hamafrans and Hizbollah employees came to Radars and complained about the air force commander and claimed that they isolated Hizbollah. A group of representatives appealed to preserve the position of Ayatollah Khamenei, who has been distorted in the recent events and the enemies want to introduce him in front of the Imam.

Mr. [Mohammed] Faruzandeh, the head of the military engineering of the fronts, came and gave a report on the work on Khark Island and the fronts, and the purchase of a heavy vehicle for the fronts was negotiated. In the evening, the board of the parliament had a meeting. The Supreme Council of Defense had a meeting on the first night. We decided to maintain the positions gained in Iraqi territory in the north of Sidkan, despite the problems it has in winter, and we decided to release more prisoners. The meeting of the heads of state in the president's office was not very successful due to the lack of agreement between Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei and Prime Minister Mousavi. I came home late.
