I was studying in the parliament until nine-thirty. A group of devout Lebanese mujahideen came and reported the unity of three groups of mujahid scholars, the Students' Union, and the Amal believers, and consulted with me. They are supposed to have a council for decision-making. I went to the university to lead the Friday prayer and returned to parliament for lunch.

I was in parliament until evening. Mr. [Mahmoud] Karimi Nouri, the head of the foundation who had been replaced by the prime minister, came and complained. I eased his distress somewhat and spoke with the prime minister. It was decided that tomorrow, at the handover ceremony, some remarks would be made so that his dignity and services would be preserved. I came home at eight-thirty. We had guests, the house was very crowded, and I, too, took refuge in my library to write my memoirs and study.
