It was decided that the immovable property would be placed at the disposal of the Propaganda Council and that part of the cash assets (about thirteen million rials) would, with the Imam's permission, be given to the Islamic Republic [Party]. Mr. [Mohammad Mohammadi] Reyshahri reported the discovery of a People's Mojahedin Organization network in the army that was responsible for the killings and assassinations at Lavizan barracks, and we discussed security and intelligence matters and the revolutionary courts.
Near noon I went to the Majlis. Mr. [Morteza] Alviri came and consulted about resigning from the Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution Organization, which had lost its effectiveness after the disputes. In the afternoon we had a meeting of the presiding board. Decisions were made regarding setting the weekly agenda, postponing the meeting with the Council of Ministers because the agenda was unclear, carrying out the impeachment of the housing minister, representatives' foreign travel, and taking the circumstances of the Majlis employees into consideration, etc.
At night we had a consultative meeting with the heads of the three branches at Mr. Khamenei's office. We discussed reshuffling the cabinet, dealing with high prices and shortages of goods needed by the people, and the conditions for peace with Iraq. I was the guest of the president for dinner. They had brought chelow kebab from outside. Late at night I went to the Majlis and slept. Mr. [Asadollah] Lajevardi [Tehran Revolutionary Prosecutor] called and said that the Prosecutor General had assigned the case of the Prime Minister's Office bombing to him, and that probably some high-ranking government officials would have to be summoned for questioning. I said they should not take action without informing the principal officials. This is an important political-judicial action that should not be taken without the knowledge of the country's officials.
