Before the order [of the public meeting of the Islamic Council], I gave a short speech about [November 13th], the exile of the Imam and the seizure of the American embassy. After the breathing time, I handed over the chairmanship of the meeting to the Deputy Chairman.

A person who had been introduced by Akhwan Marashi came and asked for help in getting permission to build a bottle factory. [Mr. Abbas Ali Behari] the representative of Sari came. He raised some issues about the harassment of the Forestry Department to Mazandaran farmers and ranchers.

[Mr. Seyed Hossein Mohammadi Azar] representative of the vineyard also came. He asked for help for the construction of Lower Tarem and said about the lack of coordination with Imam Juma [Takestan]. In the evening, I did a very detailed interview with TV about the parliament.

Mr. [Mohsen] Rafiq Doost [Minister of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] came. He gave a report on the progress of the preparatory work for future operations and asked Mr. Behzad Nabavi [Minister of Heavy Industries] on the phone about the timing of the construction of war equipment. Ahmad Agha reported on the phone the meeting between the Minister of Science [Iraj Fazel] and the headquarters of the Cultural Revolution, in which the Imam mentioned the possibility of replacing the Supreme Cultural Council instead of the [Cultural Revolution] headquarters.
