First of all, it was reported that last night at the airport, IRGC personnel got into a fight with the customs officers and beat them. I ordered an immediate investigation. I reached the parliament at seven in the morning and read the reports until eight. There is no progress in the Geneva negotiations.

I went to the assembly meeting. I was in the meeting until eleven o'clock. I apologized to Mr. Majid Ansari, who was offended by me in the last meeting. He had resigned, which he took back. Mr. Karroubi and Fazel Harandi asked me to console.

Timsar Sattari [Commander of the Air Force] came to the office. He gave a report on the beginning of the work of the Air University and brought a plaque and reported on the progress of the airplane construction. Mr. Abd Khodaei came in the afternoon. Mr. Montazeri's representatives reported on the situation in the universities and asked us to reach more students.

In the evening, Mr. [Syed Muhammad Baqir] Hakim [Speaker of the Supreme Assembly of the Islamic Revolution of Iraq] came and reported on his trip to Syria. They are supposed to open an office in Syria, recruit troops, get permission to enter Iraq and engage in political and radio activities, and sign a cooperation agreement with other groups [against Saddam Hussein]. They ask us for expenses and permission to travel and facilities.

Mr. Ainewand, my literature teacher, came when I was in high school. He is complaining about the representatives of Lorestan. I respected him and gave him an autograph. Mr. [Gholamreza] Faruzesh [Minister of Construction Jihad] arrived. He gave a report on the state of fisheries and consulted on the possibilities of Jihad combat engineering as well as the construction of rockets. I worked in my office until half past eight. I came home [Mr. Isa Kalantari] Minister of Agriculture informed that there is an exaggeration about the abundance of locusts.
