I studied for sermons at home until half past ten in the morning. I went to the University of Tehran for Iqama on Friday. I watched a movie on TV in the evening. A group of relatives came. Usually relatives bring letters from people who have problems.

At night, Dr. Velayati came and reported on his trip to Italy and Yugoslavia. Yugoslavs demand military deals. In Italy, our ambassadors who were gathered there have been excused for political movements in connection with the Geneva negotiations. He advised on the necessity of adopting an active policy in Afghanistan and getting closer to the Russians. I did the remaining work from yesterday until the evening. Mr. Mohsen Rezaei informed that the Iraqis fired twelve cannonballs on the Abadan front; I told them to reciprocate.
