I corrected the text of the opening speech of the UNCTAD [United Nations Trade and Development Conference]. Mr. [Abdullah] Nouri and several governors came. They presented a plan to decentralize and reduce the duties of the government and develop the duties of municipalities.
In the evening, I attended the meeting of the government. It is ordered to continue the discussion in the notes of [Budget Bill 1371]. I was a guest of the leadership. We discussed the current issues of the country, economic affairs, the issue of summoning Mr. [Hossein] Hashemian to the special [Clergy] court, the meeting with Mr. Montazeri, the issue of Afghanistan, the Islamic Conference of Senegal, my trip to Saudi Arabia, possible meetings in Senegal, and Abu Sharif's request to return to Iran.
