Mr. [Jalil] Besharti, [Head of the Office of Underprivileged Regions of the Presidential Institution], came to request my emphasis to strengthen the credits of underprivileged areas in the second plan. Mr. [Mohsen] Rafiq Dost, [Chairman of the Mustafafan and Veterans Foundation] came. He is going to travel to Brunei. He gave comments about banks and foreign obligations.

Mrs. [Kobri] Khazali came and asked for more attention to the women's council, permission to hire scholars in the council, to amend the civil law to amend articles related to divorce and child custody, and house management to give women more personality. I didn't think Mr. [Abul Qasim] Khazali's daughter would have such thoughts.

Mr. [Mahmoud] Mohammadi Iraqi, [head of the Islamic Propaganda Organization] came. He complained about the lack of necessary facilities in the Islamic Propaganda Organization to implement his ideas and plans and demanded that the personnel of the organization be formalized and integrated with the Qom Islamic Propaganda Office and allocated more funds.

Mr. [Ghadratullah] Alikhani, [Inspector of the Police Force] came. He said about the police force and in strengthening Mr. Saifullahi and in opposition to [Mr. Mohammad Reza Naqdi], the commander of security and intelligence and political ideological organization. He insisted on employing Mr. [Abdullah] Nouri.

Mehdi came at noon. He explained about the plans of the Ministry of Oil. In the evening, in the meeting of the government board, the foreign exchange needs of the second five-year plan were discussed and left unfinished. At night, we were the guests of Ayatollah Khamenei with all the members of the leadership of the government. During the dinner gathering discussions, he read some sentences from the letter of Hazrat Ali (a.s.) to Imam Hassan (a.s.) in Nahj al-Balagha and gave advice.
