I worked in my office until ten in the morning. We delayed the appointment we had with Mr. Mohsen Rezaei regarding negotiations regarding the General Staff, waiting for the Prime Minister's situation to be clarified, and Mr. Rezaei went to the south for war affairs.
At ten in the morning, the first official meeting of the parliament was held to review the credentials. I spoke before the order. One hundred and fourteen letters of credit were approved and five letters of credit went to the research commission; The progress of the work is more than expected.
In the afternoon, Mr. Seyed Hosseini Shahroudi came. He had opinions about the reform of economic affairs and war. [Colonel Mohammad Hossein Jalali] Minister of Defense came and expressed concern about the sovereignty of the IRGC in the General Staff.
In the evening, the Prime Minister and some of his ministers and deputies came to negotiate about the General Staff, duties, powers and facilities. We made progress and they were supposed to give the final answer tomorrow. After the meeting, it seemed to me that the presence of political elements in the headquarters of the armed forces may not be suitable for the military forces, which should be away from politics. Due to work and fatigue, I did not go to the meetings of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution and the Assembly of Expediency and reached home at half past nine.
