Mr. [Issa] Bin Alavi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman, came to meet. He said that in Iraq, like other countries in the region, relative democracy can be achieved and not more, and he believes that there is no party or organization or person in Iraq that can take over the government and it will take some time to find such a party.  Regarding Palestine, he also believes that the formation of the Palestinian state is the only solution to the problems that have been seen in the roadmap.  I said, the goals and wishes of the United States in Iraq and the region are in conflict with the wishes of the nations and are not viable and sustainable.
I worked in the office until the evening.  Mr. [Ali] Shamkhani, [Minister of Defense] came.  I talked with him about the proposals of Mr. Seyyed Abbas Modaresi. He said, Mr. [Hasan] Rouhani, [Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council], based on the decisions in the presence of the leadership, held a meeting to determine the policy of negotiation and diplomacy on the issue of Al-Qaeda and nuclear energy, but the discussion was left unfinished.  The Mujahideen-e-Khalq Organization has claimed that Iran has two enrichment centers under construction in Gharb Karaj, one of which is with laser technology.
I greeted Mr. [Ahmed] Jannati, [Secretary of the Guardian Council] on the phone.  Gallbladder has recently operated and is recovering.  In many parts of the country, including Tehran, it has been raining for several days and the weather is cold.
In Iraq, an American was killed today and [Tony] Blair, [British Prime Minister] went to Basra and stated there that Iran intends to interfere in the affairs of Iraq;  Without mentioning the reason and case.  Iraqi people have held demonstrations in Baghdad in defense of the clergy, and other demonstrations have been held in protest against the dissolution of ministries.
[Gerhard Schroeder], the chancellor of Germany has said that he is against the policy of the American warmongers, and the United States has also said that the chancellor of Germany has been removed from the list of friends of the United States.  The draft constitution of the European Union has been published, in which the establishment of a presidential institution for the Union was considered.  Poland has agreed to be in charge of the peacekeeping forces in Iraq, and several countries have agreed to send troops, and NATO has promised to help.
