Today as well, instead of tomorrow—which is the birth anniversary of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and Pasdar Day—we held an open session. The Water Bill and two double-urgency [proposals] regarding the electoral law were discussed. At noon, I had several meetings with representatives. In the afternoon, the Presidium meeting was held, and decisions were made regarding administrative affairs of Parliament.

At night, we held a meeting with members of the Supreme Propaganda Council, the Minister of [Islamic] Guidance Mr. [Abdol-Majid] Ma'adikhah, and the President in my office. They have differences. We investigated the matter; to resolve the conflict, we specified their boundaries, authority, and duties, which were noted in ten articles and signed. By the order of the Imam, responsibility for coordinating overseas propaganda lies with the Minister of Guidance, and we designated a council comprising the Minister of Guidance, the Foreign Minister, the Managing Director of IRIB, and a representative of the Propaganda Council. They had dinner right there.

I came home at 10:00 PM. Today, Effat along with Fati had a dispute with the guards outside the house over a parking spot. She was upset, which distressed me as well. I had a headache, and the pain intensified; I took a painkiller capsule and went to sleep feeling distressed. Commanders of the Ground Forces and the IRGC contacted me from the front, and it was decided that a Supreme Defense Council meeting be held tomorrow at the Imam's office.
