In my lengthy pre-agenda speech, I spoke about the Imam's remarks, the anniversary of the liberation of Khorramshahr, and the martyrdom of [Mohammad] Boroujerdi, deputy commander of the Hamzeh Headquarters. The agenda was the bill [defining the duties and organizational structure] of the Security Council. At noon, the Friday prayer leader and representative from Fuman came and complained about Mr. [Sadeq] Ehsanbakhsh, the Friday prayer leader of Rasht. Mr. [Asadollah] Bayat came and complained about the IRGC commanders and Mr. [Mohammad-Reza] Faker [the Imam's representative in the IRGC].
In the afternoon, a group of families of martyrs from Karaj came and brought some gold for the war and complained about the governor and the Friday prayer leader. Then I attended the meeting of the Hezbollah members of parliament and listened to their remarks for a while. I spoke at length about the problems caused by their extremism and their unjustified attacks on the government. Messrs. Haddad Adel and Eslamiat, who own garages, came and criticized the Ministry of Roads' bill concerning the nationalization of port garages. Then, a group of heads of [human resources] reconstruction committees came and gave a report. They complained that the Imam's Follow-up Headquarters, based on the Imam's statement—that the criterion is people's present condition—had annulled several articles of the reconstruction law, and consulted about extending the law, whose validity would soon expire. It was decided to speak with the Imam and then make a decision. At night I came home. I was tired and went to sleep early.
