After Suhoor and morning prayers, I went to the assembly. In the public meeting, the general bill of the Ministry of Heavy Industries was approved and a faction of the parliament was defeated. They made jokes in the speeches before the decree, but it was to their detriment.

Some of the employees - believing women of the Majlis - came to my office at noon and complained about the non-believing women who do not observe hijab outside the Majlis; I said that I would think about it. In the evening, a person named Mr. Sarwari came and offered a type of fireproof clothing, which he claims is used in [North Atlantic Organization] NATO, for the use of our soldiers. He claimed that he had already told the issue to the Corps, but they did not pay attention. Mr. Safa, along with him, also gave a description of the construction of a seminary at the site of [Reza Shah] Pahlavi's tomb [in Shahreri].

Mr. [Ali] Fallahian [Deputy Minister of Information] came and while reporting on the progress of the work of the Ministry of Information, he raised the problem of overlapping duties with others. Two people from the Islamic Society of the Ministry of Science came and complained. [My son] Mohsen came and took money from me for his needs.

At the time of breaking the fast, Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei came and we discussed the war and made some decisions. At night, I went to visit Mr. Rabbani [Amleshi]. They were not well. I came home late at night. The children also arrived from the party.
