I went to the assembly early in the morning. In the public meeting, the work of amending the agricultural land bill was finished. If the Guardian Council accepts, it will solve some of the problems. I gave an interview for the special issue of the Majlis on the occasion of the anniversary of the opening of the second term of the Majlis, and I also spoke about this in an interview with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the evening, I had a meeting with Mr. Saud Al-Faisal, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, who came to Iran at the invitation of [Mr. Velayati] the Minister of Foreign Affairs. We talked about admiring the relations and I assured them of the possibility of friendship and good relations and I criticized their assistance to Iraq. It was claimed that they started helping after Iran's invasion of Iraq, and the war was discussed in detail. He begged to accept the ceasefire; I told them to accept that Iraq is the aggressor and that a court be established to try the aggressor, then we will accept. He said that they accept the court, but he did not accept the protest against Iraq's aggression before the court. He had brought as a gift a Tertil Quran course with the voice of Abdul Basit.

A group of people came to Ramhormuz and I spoke for them and comforted the people of Khuzestan. I stayed in the parliament at night and studied until ten o'clock and then had dinner and slept. Mr. Esadi, the representative of Ahvaz, came and wanted to console the Arabs of Khuzestan who were offended because of the article in the newspaper.
