I was at home and spent my time reading and walking in the yard. Mr. Velayati said on the phone that [Mr. Saud al-Faisal], the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, has a condition to meet with me in order to come to Iran, which I accepted. Mr. [Mohammed Hasan] Zoreq [Deputy of Radio and Television Organization] asked for permission to broadcast a statement about the events in Khuzestan. Information newspaper insulted the Arabs of Khuzestan, and with the incitement of corrupters, a group of Arabs of Khuzestan expressed their anger at that insult with demonstrations and clashed with Hezbollah forces and police forces. He said that the brotherhood of Mohammad does not agree. Ayatollah Khamenei agrees and I also agreed.

We were guests of Ahmad Agha at night. Imam also participated in the meeting. It was decided to turn on the street lights of Tehran, which have been off since the Iraqi airstrikes. Foreigners have considered this silence as the reason for the dangerous situation. They talked about the war and other things, but the meeting did not produce much. Mr. [Mousavi] Ardabili informed that they have arrested the perpetrator of the explosion in Naser Khosro street.
