I led the Friday prayers and discussed the detention of the leaders of the Tudeh Party, and responded to the incorrect analyses of commentators in the West and East. During the prayers, it sometimes rained, but the people endured it.
In the afternoon, I attended the party congress session. The party's bylaws, charter, and general policy line, which had come from the commissions, were approved. Fati and Mehdi also came to the congress. A problem has arisen regarding the composition of the candidates, which may result in too many clerical members on the Central Council; something must be done about it. Dr. Velayati complained about the oil minister's conduct in cases where the government wants to grant concessions to some friendly countries, such as Syria and Nicaragua.
