We had an open session. The mining bill was under discussion. Before noon, Mr. [Hassan] Habibi came and conveyed the Imam's opinion regarding the composition of the Cultural Revolution Headquarters and the Supreme Council of Education. It was decided that I would speak with the Imam. Mr. Sheikh [Mohammad] Jafar Shamseddin from Lebanon arrived at noon and requested support for Mr. [Mohammad Mehdi] Shamseddin. He consulted regarding accepting the invitation of Mr. [Ahmed] Sékou Touré from Sheikh Shamseddin, to which I expressed my agreement.

In the afternoon, we had the [Islamic Republican Party] position class, and then Mr. [Mohammad-Ali] Najafi, the Minister of Sciences, came and raised topics regarding the Supreme Council of Education and many other matters. Red Crescent instructors came and presented a report on their services, which was interesting. I presented a cloak as a gift to Mr. [Hassan] Firouzabadi, the head of the organization.

At night, Mr. Torabi from the Imam's Advisory Office came and had interesting points regarding the army, especially concerning the Air Force's Planning and Budget Department, which pays no attention to self-sufficiency in manufacturing parts.

I went home at night; Yasser and Mehdi returned from Fati's house. Yasser was upset, crying, and throwing a tantrum because Fati had not taken him to his desired library, and he went to sleep in that state.
