Full text of the diary:

We have rain in many parts of our country. I read all day at home, including a book written by Mr. [Habibollah] Hamidi about the deviation and practical contradiction of the leftist forces, as well as preparing the memoirs of 1983 [= calm and challenge] for publication.

In the reports, the following points draw attention: the increase in traffic accidents and casualties during the Eid holidays, the mass travel of people to the areas of the Holy Defense Front, the widespread popular demonstrations in Arab countries against Israel and in support of the Intifada, the extensive measures taken to make Amir Abdullah's peace plan a success, the admission of [Binyamin Ben-Eliezer], the Israeli Minister of Defense, regarding the exhaustion of the military forces that Israel has as a result of the long preparations and the atrocities committed against the defenseless people. The signing of a petition of 350 members by Israeli officers calling for the withdrawal from the Palestinian territories, the martyrdom of a Palestinian against the Israeli soldiers' post and the wounding of a number of them, the declaration of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades as terrorists by the United States, the death of the 50th prisoner from the hunger strike in Turkey since 515 days ago, and the fierce clash between the Turkish military and the Kurdish people of Turkey, who participated in the Nowruz celebrations with an unprecedented scale, and the mass killing. of Kurds and police, and the arrest of more than 2,000 people.

The United States announced that the bylaws for the trial of al-Qaeda and Taliban prisoners in military courts have been prepared and their right to appeal in civilian courts has been denied. About 300 people are being held at Guantánamo.  George W. Bush has asked Congress for an additional $27 billion for war.

India has not been able to stop the cultivation and slaughter in Gujarat, and today a number of others were killed.  In Kashmir, the operations of the Kashmiri guerrillas continue regularly. In Pakistan, terrorists repeatedly attack Shiite centers and personalities and take casualties.According to official statistics, Pakistan has five million drug addicts.
