Dr. Fathi Shaghaqi and another person from the Islamic Front for the Salvation of Palestine came. They presented an analysis of the issue of Palestine and Israel and asked for more help; I promised to help and fought for all-round help on the condition of being Islamic. Mr. Ahmed Jabreil [leader of the People's Front

for the liberation of Palestine] and his companions came. He praised the wise policy of the Islamic Republic in the Persian Gulf crisis and called for the removal of Saddam, as well as helping the Palestinians and preserving the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Dr. Velayati, [Minister of Foreign Affairs] came and reported on his trip to Oman. They have reached an agreement with [Mr. Saud al-Faisal], the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, regarding Hajj and establishing relations. Regarding cooperation with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, they have had understanding negotiations. In the evening, the Economic Council had a meeting. A decision was made regarding the price of agricultural tools and textbooks. Council members were my guests at Iftar.
