In the public session, the budget was being debated. I spoke in support and attacked the opponents' slogan-like remarks. The opponents, without paying attention to the wartime conditions, had made harsh, slogan-like statements. Around noon, regarding the government, some people complained about the harshness of my remarks, and some thanked me. I spoke to the disabled people who had come to Parliament. Around noon, the father of three martyrs from Jahrom came, and I gave him a gift and expressed appreciation for his patience and composure.

Mr. Goudarz Eftekhar Jahromi [jurist member of the Guardian Council] came and consulted me about taking charge of the settlement negotiations in The Hague, and I agreed. A group from Zanjan came and demanded the removal of the governor. In the afternoon, we had a lesson on the positions of the [Islamic Republican Party], and I had a meeting with the [Army] Advisory Office, who gave a report on the radars in the south, the islands, and the oil regions of the Persian Gulf. I had a meeting with the members of the Workers' House, and I spoke to them. I also had a meeting with the governor of Mazandaran and the president of the university there, who spoke about the condition of the forests and the borders, and requested the transfer of the motel to the medical school and assistance.

At night, we had a meeting of the Supreme Defense Council. The situation on the fronts is stagnant, and today two ships on their way to Bandar Imam were hit by missiles, one of which suffered serious damage.
