Mr. Dr. [Hasan] Rouhani came with a previous appointment. Operational plans and forces are ready, and they asked for another deadline for training and better preparation, which we gave. So far, the time of the operation has been extended several times and foreign observers are in doubt and cannot understand the reason for not carrying out a large and final attack - which they think we are ready for for a long time - and they give false reasons for delaying the operation.

In the evening, there was a meeting of the supervisory council [of Sadasima]. We don't have much to do. More about policies and current situation were discussed. They gave a report on the situation in Nicaragua, where we were supposed to establish a radio station. It was decided to use the forces released from the first parliament to strengthen the work of the radio and television.

Some people in Qom have claimed to see the crescent moon and have broken the fast.

We talked with the president about the government; On the occasion of the formation of the new parliament and the expectation of the government in the society. Their opinion is that Mr. Engineer [Mirhossein] Mousavi should continue his work and changing the prime minister is not expedient, but [Ayatollah Khamenei] does not agree with the economic policy of the government.
