They believed that the policy of insisting on proving foreign agent infiltration within the Ministry of Intelligence is not advantageous and leaves behind deep distrust. I also noted that their statements at the meeting of heads of branches, in the presence of the Supreme Leader, were not convincing either.
Mr. [Habibollah] Bourbour, head of school renovation and development at the Ministry of Education, arrived. He outlined the needs, resources, and volume of assistance from the private sector and charitable individuals involved in school building, asking me to participate in the charities' conference. He stated that with the current pace of development, the existing shortcomings cannot be made up. [Mr. Seyed Reza Fazelian], the Friday Prayer Leader, along with [Mr. Hassan Zamani], the MP, and the Governor of Malayer arrived; while praising the construction projects during my tenure, they requested assistance to build a Musalla [prayer hall] and invited me to visit Malayer, among other places. In the afternoon, I performed the marriage ceremony (aqd) for [Mr. Amir Abbas Ahangarzadeh], one of our staff members.
[Mr. Gholamreza Shafe'i], Minister of Industries, along with his deputies and managers, arrived and gave a detailed report on the status of projects, investment, production, and industrial estates; investment and foreign exchange allocation have decreased, and the high rate of free-market foreign exchange has led to liquidity shortages for industrial units and economic stagnation.
In world news, the visit of [Mr. Akis Tsochatzopoulos], the Minister of Defense of Greece, and the discussion of military cooperation between Iran, Greece, and Armenia have generated significant reactions. The death sentence handed down to [Abdullah] Öcalan in Turkey is also drawing attention.
