First, we went to visit the graves of the martyrs of the 7th of July and Bloody Friday [Mecca] and visit the Imam's shrine to Behesht Zahra. Messrs. [Syed Hassan] Firouzabadi, [Chief of Staff of the General Command] and [Akbar] Turkan [Minister of Defense] came. They wanted 11 billion tomans, additional budget for the expenses of the army and the IRGC; I said that from the exemption of additional soldiers in exchange for money, the formation of air, sea and land transportation companies with their own facilities, the sale of their own currency and other savings can be provided.

The Minister of Health of Oman, the special envoy of Sultan Qaboos, came to convey the condolences of the King of Oman. The families of the martyrs of the 7th of Tir came. I spoke to them. I worked in my office until evening. I talked with Mr. [Abdullah] Nouri about organizing the distribution of aid to the earthquake victims. Mehdi informed that some people have come from the region and they are saying that they have not reached some of the villages of Siahkol. I came home at night.
