[Mr. Adebayo Adreji], Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and Chairman of the Economic Commission for Africa at the United Nations came. Iran's cooperation in Africa's development was discussed and he thanked us for our positions. Mr. [Seyd Kamal] Kharazi, [Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations] came. You will talk and comment on the UN Secretary General's plan to solve the Afghanistan issue and help release the hostages in Lebanon; It was decided that I will answer the night after the meeting with the leadership.

In the evening, Mr. [Masoud Roghani] Zanjani, [Head of the Planning and Budget Organization] and [Masoud] Nili, came to justify me for agreeing to the [economic] adjustment plan; This debate is discussed in the Economic Council.

I participated in the Economic Council meeting. The program organization adjustment plan was not approved. It was agreed that the distribution of rice and eggs will be freed with a competitive currency and instead of coupons, we will give the price difference to the people in cash.

At night I was a guest of Ayatollah Khamenei. We discussed the proposals of [Mr. Xavier Pérez Decoyar], the Secretary General [of the United Nations]; We accepted the Lebanon plan and rejected Afghanistan. I informed the matter to Mr. Kharazi. We discussed and consulted about the radicals and the current issues of the army, IRGC and Iraq. I stayed in my office at night.
