Today, we arranged a meeting with the Imam for all representatives and Parliament staff. Thus, we held yesterday's open session early. Revolution court judges and prosecutors had also been granted an audience. The crowd exceeded Jamaran Hosseiniyeh's capacity, and out of necessity, a group of guards paid their respects to the Imam in a second session. The families of the representatives were also present.

The crowd exceeded Jamaran Hosseiniyeh's capacity, and out of necessity, a group of guards paid their respects to the Imam in a second session. The families of the representatives were also present.

Mr. Mousavi Ardebili and I gave brief speeches before the Imam. Citing Imam Ali's (PBUH) first sermon after officially assuming governance, I pointed out the difficulties in rectifying the corruption and deviations of past governments and asked the Imam for guidance. Because I quoted words from Imam Ali's (PBUH) first sermon upon beginning his rule that contained harsh phrasing regarding the third Caliph [Uthman ibn Affan], it was decided that this part of my speech should not be broadcast in order to preserve unity.

After the session, Mr. [Mousavi] Ardebili came to our home, and we discussed foreign policy following the recent victories at the battlefronts. The central point of the discussion was that the superpowers and Arab nations in the region are concerned about our victory over Iraq, believing that if our triumph leads to the establishment of an Islamic government in Iraq, it will spread to neighboring countries; therefore, the enemies of the Islamic Revolution of Iran are furiously conspiring against us.
