The reports were not important. We had a public meeting of the Majlis. Several credentials were approved and we had several choices. The votes are relatively moderate. Two urgent amendments to the election law were approved to make the elections one-stage.

In the evening, Mr. Hamid Bahrami [Iranian Ambassador] came from The Hague. The Hague court is closed these days. Mr. Prime Minister has decided to change Mr. [Syed Mahmoud] Kashani and Mr. [Shafi] Shafii, our two referees. Mr. Noori, the Imam's representative in Kuwait, and two Kuwait University professors who support the Iranian revolution came and told about the situation in Kuwait. They claimed that the student atmosphere in Kuwait is Islamic, but neither Shiite nor revolutionary. The political atmosphere of Ustadan is Western, and the Palestinians of Kuwait are mostly in favor of Iran. They had brought significant help to the front.

Mr. [Ali] Falahian from the [Islamic] Revolution Committee came and gave a report on the construction of checkpoints and border roads, and they were upset about the lack of funds. They also talked about the responsibility of protection, which the Security Council recently took [this responsibility] from the IRGC and put it in the hands of the committee, and I think it should go back to the IRGC.

Mr. [Mohammed] Salamati, the former Minister of Agriculture, came and consulted about the establishment of a new party of supporters of the disadvantaged and radicals. I said, at most, it will be like the left wing of the Mujahideen of the Islamic Revolution. I did the office work and came home early in the evening.
