Engineer [Syed Hossein] Hashemi, representative of the center came; He is the chairman of the Majlis Industries Commission. He asked my opinion about the industrial policy and the merger of the industrial ministries. Regarding the election of Mr. [Ali] Abdul Alizadeh, he appealed to the Governorate of East Azerbaijan, which is approved by the majority of the representatives of the province, and also for help in the development of the province.

Mr. [Habibullah] Askaravaladi came. He asked me for my opinion about the coalition and asked about the impeachment of some ministers, which I disagreed with. He expressed his satisfaction with the management of Mr. [Ali Akbar] Natiq Nouri and the election of Mr. [Ali] Larijani to the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

Mr. [Ali] Abdul Alizadeh came and complained about his disqualification [in the parliamentary elections] by the Guardian Council. I consoled him. He was appointed to the position of Governor of East Azerbaijan. Mr. [Qorban Ali] Dari Najaf Abadi, [Chairman of the Program and Budget Commission and Chairman of the Supreme Selection Board of the country] came. I asked Ayatollah Montazeri about his condition. He said that they are fine, but he is not satisfied with the strictness of the [Ministry of] Information. He wanted me to say that there should be no insistence on his Friday imam in Najafabad instead of the deceased [Sheikh Abbas] Yazidi, and that the same Ashikh Gholam Hossein [Mansour] who is currently praying should be the Friday imam. He consulted about the second program and the policies of the Program and Budget Commission, which he is the head of, as well as about the selection and selection policy in Kurdistan. He asked for help to build a school for foreign students in Qom.

Mr. [Mohammed Ali] Nazaran, [Secretary of the Commission for Handling the Affairs of Prisoners] came. They talked about Iraqi prisons and their budgets and giving educated subjects to universities and executive bodies.

Fati noon came for Ayin Roshan school. In the evening, the Economic Council had a meeting. Mohsen and Beheshti reported about the demurrages from a special inspection. He had suggestions to remove them, which were mostly approved. A decision was made about the price of paper and the royalty of underground water.

In the afternoon, Mohammad Reza Beheshti, [son of Martyr Beheshti] came. He talked about the situation of studying in Germany and asked for help for the Contemporary History Research Institute.
