I stayed at home and read through the internal regulations of the Parliament, the councils bill, reports, and also the telexes I had received from the Imam's office. We had the Quds Day march. Friday prayers for the last Friday of Ramadan were led by Mr. Mohammad Yazdi. The Imam also sent a message.

Iraqi planes attacked Hamedan two or three times today, and we had dozens of martyrs and hundreds wounded. They also fired a missile at Khark, which caused no damage. An F-4 plane crashed in Ilam. I called the commander of the Air Force and protested against the inactivity of the air defense. As usual, he made the excuse of lacking the necessary equipment.

We had consultations with the President and the Prime Minister, who is leaving for Algeria tomorrow. It has been proposed that we turn the Niavaran Palace into a guesthouse for foreign guests and the Sahebqaranieh into a museum, and I approved it. I also made efforts to supply the shortage of heavy vehicles for the front.
