At seven in the morning, Mr. Mohsen Rezaei called from the operations command and gave a report on the front, saying that the Fath command had achieved its objective, but the other commands had performed weakly. The Imam's office also called asking for information from me. It turned out that by six in the morning, we had taken five hundred prisoners. I spent some time with the garden. I read the book *Political Parties* by Malek al-Shoara Bahar. I felt that reviewing the history of the Constitutional Revolution and paying attention to their experiences would be useful for us.

Iraqi planes attacked the cities of Khorramabad, Bakhtaran, and Ilam, martyring about forty-five people, wounding hundreds, and destroying dozens of homes. This is Iraq's military reaction on the front. Until the evening, various news came from the fronts.

At night, I spoke with the operations command. It turned out that they had performed well on one axis and advanced up to twenty-five kilometers, but due to weak performance on three other axes, we have retreated, and we are about ten kilometers inside Iraqi territory on one axis and three kilometers on another.

The reports were brought from the Parliament, and the telexes from the Imam's office. The reaction of the Arab and non-Arab world is not yet clear. I spent the night in vigil. The children also went to Jame'e al-Sadegh. I also watched an interesting film from the war operations scene. Especially the scene of the injury and perhaps martyrdom of a combatant and his statements—which deeply moved me—and also the scene of Iraqi prisoners chanting sympathetic slogans in favor of the Imam, were noteworthy.
