I went to my office. Dr. Velayati, [Minister of Foreign Affairs] came. They talked about the committee [to examine issues] of Iraq and regional issues. [Mr. Hosni Oldidich], Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mauritania came to meet; It didn't matter. It was ceremonial. They have not had a good attitude towards us in the past. [Abdullah Nouri]

[Abdullah Nouri], the country's minister, came for current affairs.

I spoke to the leader on the phone. It was decided to accept Iraqi civilian planes to come to Iran. Yasser came with Hassan Maadikhah; I asked about his father's condition. He was arrested yesterday. Mr. [Mesih] Mohajiri, [President's Social Advisor] came. Discussions were held about domestic and regional social and political issues. In the afternoon, Akhvi Mohammad, [the head of the Broadcasting Organization] came. He explained about the female personality seminar and asked me to participate.

Dr. [Hasan] Habibi came in the evening. He reported the negotiation with Major [Abdul Salam] Jallud, [Prime Minister of Libya] and discussed their proposals for bilateral and regional cooperation with Iraq. Until seven o'clock, I did my office work and read the reports. The last day is the deadline for Iraq to leave Kuwait. Inflammation is high and oil has become more expensive.

In the evening, the Expediency Council had a meeting. The issue of "business and profession rights" and the veterans' bill were on the agenda. I stayed in my office at night. I slept at half past eleven.
