Because of the heavy snow, the children's school was closed. The landlord-tenant relations bill was approved. A couple of steps have been taken in favor of tenants. Mr. Nategh Nouri, the Minister of Interior, who had come to Parliament to answer a question, had a bitter confrontation with Mr. [Mohammad] Ghaffari, the representative of Salmas, and Mr. [Kamel] Abedinzadeh, the representative of Khoy. Unfortunately, such confrontations between representatives and ministers happen frequently. Mr. [Ali] Aghamohammadi [the representative of Hamedan] gave an account of the work of the special banking system commission. In the afternoon, I attended the party members' meeting in Parliament. I met with the Minister of Defense, who complained about a shortage of personnel.

Early in the evening, I had a meeting with the clerics of Qazvin, where Mr. Barikbin, the Friday Prayer Imam and secretary of the [Islamic Republic] Party, complained about Mr. Badamchi and, alongside positive and important effects, spoke of the negative impact of the Imam's recent decree regarding the Revolutionary Courts and the boldness of the counter-revolutionaries. The Minister of Labor came with his deputies, gave a report, and I also spoke to them.

Mr. Saleh Khou, Iran's representative to the International Monetary Fund, came and explained his work, insisting that Parliament approve increasing Iran's share. During the previous term, we did not approve it. He said we have a share of about three hundred million dollars, that we head a group and have a seat. We can make political use of it. At night, the children also stayed in Parliament.
