I talked about moderation in the representatives' criticisms of the presenters and said that such harsh and ill-considered criticisms will weaken the spirit of the people and the revolution; Of course, the principle of criticism is necessary, but it must be fair and justified.

The Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution held a meeting in the President's office. We completed the internal regulations. I told [Mr. Iraj Fazel] the Minister of Culture [and Higher Education] to solve the problem of military service for students of Islamic Azad University. The current situation is a factor of discrimination and the students who study at their own expense are deprived of the privilege that the students of the government university - who do not pay for education and also receive loans, tuition and dormitories -.
