We had a public meeting. The new ministers were officially introduced. The wave of opposition is intense; It must be helped. In the afternoon Mr. [Mohsen] Rathi, the representative of Miandoab and the governor and commander of the army [of this city] came and complained about Imam Juma. Mr. Mohsen Mousavi came to Tabrizi and complained about the new university management rules prepared by the Cultural Revolution Headquarters. It was claimed that university presidents and professors are resigning because of this.

Mr. [Mustafa] Tabrizi, the representative of Bojnoord, came. He is desperate to be re-elected [for parliament] and wanted help for his future. He complained about being persecuted by his associates in Bojnord. Mr. [Syedkazem] Akrami, the representative of Bahar Hamadan, came and had criticisms and was looking for a solution. Mr. [Ali] Shamkhani, deputy head of the IRGC, came and brought a report about the composition, history, and movements of the so-called line three, and asked about the disagreement between the IRGC's information and [Mr. Asadullah Lajordi], the Tehran Revolutionary Prosecutor, and how to solve the problems.

[Mr. Kazem Seifian] the mayor of Tehran and the [municipal] engineers came and brought the map of Tehran subway and Tehran's sewage system. They had plans to solve the problem of traffic and population density in Tehran. The Tehran subway plan was canceled by the interim government, and it is clear that Tehran's traffic problem cannot be solved without the subway. Due to the negative publicity and the war conditions, [the metro plan] is not accepted by the parliament and the society, but I think there is no other way and this spell must be broken.

Mr. [Kamal] Kharazi, the head of the War Propaganda Headquarters [and CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran News Agency], came and consulted about the future propaganda policy. In the evening, Dr. [Mohammed Taqi] Banki [minister advisor and head of the Planning and Budget Organization] came with his deputies and asked for help to defend the five-year plan. The Program [and Parliament Budget] Committee has many objections to the program. [Dr. Mohsen Nourbakhsh] the head [general] of the central bank [and the members of the executive board of the country's banks] and the personnel related to the implementation of the law to eliminate usury from the banking system came. They gave a report and I spoke for them in detail.

We had a private consultation meeting with [Ayatollah] Mr. Khamenei in the first night. Then, the central council [community] of the militant clergy [Tehran] had a meeting to decide on the candidates for the upcoming parliament. We had dinner and I went to the assembly and slept.
