I reached my office at half past eight in the morning. Mr. [Mahmoud] Vaezi came and brought the results of the negotiations with the Romanians and the text of the agreement and the joint statement. He said that the French ambassador had come and expressed satisfaction with the results of the delegation's trip and called for high-level negotiations to solve development problems

I reached my office at half past eight in the morning. Mr. [Mahmoud] Vaezi came and brought the results of the negotiations with the Romanians and the text of the agreement and the joint statement.

Mr. Nicolae Ceausescu and his companions arrived at half past nine. We talked about various global issues and the two countries. He is unhappy with Mr. Gorbachev and believes that he is the cause of current problems and issues.

The official meeting started at ten o'clock, the negotiations were repeated. Finally, it was decided that nothing about Afghanistan will be mentioned in the memorandum and statement.

Then we went to the airport to see off. Their special plane was prepared and there were foreign ambassadors. The official send-off and flight took place at twelve forty-five minutes.

I returned to my office. Prayer, lunch and rest. I attended the government meeting until seven o'clock in the evening. We decided to condemn the US military attack on Panama. I stayed in my office at night. I did the work.
