In the public meeting [Islamic Shura Council] before the order, I thanked Ayatollah Montazeri for his statements and by thanking, I closed the way of abuse by the hypocrites - who had started to say that he had criticized the council - and in return I asked them to focus on fundamental issues.

In the public meeting [Islamic Shura Council] before the order, I thanked Ayatollah Montazeri for his statements and by thanking, I closed the way of abuse by the hypocrites - who had started to say that he had criticized the council - and in return I asked them to address fundamental intellectual issues.

The car tax bill was in order. After taking a breath, I handed over the meeting to Mr. Rabbani [Amleshi].

I participated in a meeting in the president's office with the presence of Mr. Mohsen Rezaei. Most of the time was discussed about the problem of opponents of the IRGC commander. [Mr. Mohsen Rezaei] explained about future operations. The possible problem is the agreement with the army commanders about the operation plan.

Mr. [Sheikh Hassan] Saneyi, by phone, informed the Imam that we should try to reach a consensus with Mr. [Ayatollah] Khamenei regarding the headquarters of the Cultural Revolution and propose the result to the Imam. We negotiated. We agreed to add more people to the desired number. We were supposed to decide on [choosing] people later. At noon, in my office, I had a meeting with the Imam of Juma Al-Mut, who had brought help from the people [of Al-Mut] to the front. Salmani came to reform.

In the evening, Dr. Velayati came. He gave a report on his negotiations with the Indian authorities. He believes that Indians care about the appreciation of relations with us and emphasized on the attraction of Indian Zoroastrians who are a significant force in India and have a natural inclination towards Iran. He consulted with the Hungarians, who will travel there in two or three days, about the way of negotiations. I participated in the central council of the [Islamic Republic] party. Most of the discussions were about [providing] the [party] budget. Opponents of the government criticized the [amount] of the [party's] budget. At night, I came home. It is snowing.
