I woke up at dawn and did not sleep again. Until eight o'clock, I read about the original evidence of religious authority. Before the order in the public meeting, I spoke briefly about Israel's invasion of Lebanon and the Soviet earthquake. I stayed in the meeting until I breathed. I went to my office. Mr. [Isa] Valai [Tehran's representative] came.

He gave the report of the trip to Sharjah and visited the exhibition and emphasized the encouragement of crafts to exchange their artefacts with southern countries. Mr. [Syed Hossein] Mousavi came from Tabrizi. He asked for the office of propaganda in Qom and the dispatch of clerics.

At noon, Mr. Mukhtar [sheriff] came from the committee. It brought huge sums of fake notes and forgery tools - recently discovered. He claims that it is forged in Iraq and brought to Iran. He wanted to intensify the punishment for forgery of government documents.

In the evening, I went to Tehran University and gave a speech at the cultural promotion and reconstruction seminar. I worked in my office until half past six last night. I went to Saadabad Palace at seven o'clock. We had dinner at the residence of the Speaker of the Polish Parliament and the accompanying delegation. I was there until about ten o'clock at night. I asked many questions about the economic and social situation in Poland. He outlined a plan to transition from the centralized system of socialism to a more open system. We had dinner. There were several ministers. I came home at ten o'clock.
