At eight o'clock we went to the Islamic Council for the swearing-in ceremony. Before the meeting, I talked a little with [Mr. Ali Akbar Natiq Nouri and Mohammad Yazdi], heads of the legislative and judicial branches. At the ceremony, Mr. Natiq and Mr. Yazdi spoke well. After reading the affidavit, I gave an extended speech alongside the head of the judiciary; Both about the past performance and about the future plan and the content of the affidavit.

Then we sat and negotiated with a group of representatives and other leaders. I returned to my office. Dr. Rouhani came. We discussed about the cabinet. Mr. [Ali Mohammad] Besharati came with good news. It was discussed about the tenure of the Ministry of Interior; He expressed his readiness. I said that I will inform you after a complete investigation. Yesterday, Dr. Velayati announced that he was not ready.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye came. They talked about security affairs and cooperation between the two countries. He brought the letter of Mr. [Suleiman] Demirel, the president.

In the evening, I attended the meeting of the government board. I came to my office halfway. Mr. [Ali] Fallahian came. We negotiated about the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Interior. A letter signed by one hundred and eighty-eight members of parliament was received, who proposed Mr. [Mohammed Reza] Bahaner for the Ministry of Interior. Immediately, a message was received from several signatories who said that they signed because of confrontation and did not agree.

I did the work until nine o'clock and came home. Efat and the children had gone to attend the central bank banquet and visit the jewelry museum.
