I stayed in the parliament because the house was under repair. A group of representatives of the [Left Wing] of the Assembly, Mr. [Asadullah] Bayat, [Abdul-Vahd Mousavi] Lari, [Rasul] Mutjab Nia, [Abbas] Dozdozani, [Majid] Ansari, [Mohammedreza] Behzadian and [Gholamreza] Heydari came. They were worried about Ayatollah Khamenei's statements regarding the need to approve the cabinet in the parliament. They wanted a solution to permit opposition or an action such as declaring no discussion, which is a negative and inappropriate reaction. I said, in my opinion, opposition is not an obstacle, as long as it is not motivated by band and line, but based on qualifications and merits. They were happy and left. They announced in the parliament. I warned them not to oppose the cabinet, which will make cooperation difficult in the future.
Dr. [Hasan] Rouhani came. I talked about the cabinet and the armed forces. He agreed with some kind of merger and asked to ask Mr. Khamenei not to decide to restore the Joint Staff.
Mr. [Ali] Hosseini Tash and [Mohammed] Alizadeh came and justified the IRGC's action regarding the transfer of part of the Ministry's property to the IRGC, which has been stopped. In the evening Mr. [Mohsen] Rezaei came for this purpose and asked me to help; I wrote that they should determine the property that can be transferred in coordination with the commander of the army.
