I stayed some of the public meeting, left it to Mr. Karroubi and participated in the headquarters meeting of Khatam headquarters. In the afternoon [Mr. Mohammad Taqi Banki], the Minister of Energy came. He is very upset about the destruction of the Ramin [Ahvaz] power plant by the bombing of Iraq. There was a lot of damage. I said that we do not have a strong defense against air attacks. It was decided to create a thousand megawatts of electricity with a gas power plant in Tehran region.

In the evening Mr. [Ali] Shamkhani [commander of the IRGC ground forces] came. He said the status of the FAW front and the future plan. Our defensive line in Faw is somewhat reliable. I emphasized on helping the ground forces in defending the lines. Haj Ebrahim came from the officials of one of the mosques in Tehran. He made a deal with the Ministry of Oil that he wanted to implement.

I participated in the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution. Dr. [Abdullah] Jasbi explained about the Islamic Azad University that it was relatively effective and there were few objections. At night, the High Council of War Support Staffs had a meeting. We approved the statutes. I came to my office around eleven o'clock at night. I ate dinner and slept.
