Early in the morning I went to Parliament. Before the session, I read the reports. During the public session, several bills were passed. During the recess, I spoke with the spectators who had come from Saveh, Isfahan, Shahrekord, and the Ministry of Oil; about the superpowers' anger over revolutionary Islam being presented as a school of thought. Mr. Yazdi presided over the rest of the session, and I went to my office and worked on revising the positions of the Islamic Republic Party.

At noon, Mr. Mashhadi Eydi Araki, a worker who had hosted me twenty years earlier when I was in Arak to give a sermon, came with his wife and son; I received them and gave them Eydi. He also gave one hundred tomans as Eydi for my children's pens and paper. In the afternoon, the physicians' branch of the Islamic Republic Party came; I spoke to them at length. People from the Army's advisory office came and gave their reports; among them the hijacking of a C-130 military aircraft and its flight to Saudi Arabia and return; they also spoke about the poor condition of our borders in Khorasan with the Soviet Union and the Iraqi prisoners of war camp.

At Ayatollah Khamenei's office, we held a meeting of the Central Council of the Islamic Republic Party. Amendments to the bylaws for presentation at the congress were discussed, as well as how to invite members of Parliament to the congress. Ayatollah Khamenei consulted about the Army's duties, the Imam's new decree, and the delegation of the deputy command of the armed forces. Late at night I returned home. My respected mother had come from Qom; we were happy.
