I got VOA news. There have been rapid and severe reactions in the world against America for its aggression against Libya. I went to the parliament. First, I summoned Mr. Mohsen Rezaei and Mr. Jamali to my office. They agreed on the programs and demanded more powers for Colonel Jamali.

The officials of the Mustafahan Foundation came. They reported the financial situation and told about their problem regarding about 1500 companies and institutes under seizure and guardianship, and I promised to help them.

[Mr. Ali Akbar Mohtashmipour] Minister of the Interior and the officials of the [Tehran] Metro [Company] and the Central Bank and Social Insurance came. They demanded five billion tomans of credit to start the subway work. The central bank is supposed to make preparations for the work with a positive opinion. Mr. [Mohammed Hasan] Akhtri, our future ambassador in Syria, came for consultation. Mr. Shujai, the representative of Sari, came and complained about the government's work as usual.

Mr. [Syed Mohammad] Khatami, the minister of guidance, came with Mr. [Abdul Wahid] Mousavi Lari and [Sabah] Zanganeh. They asked for the half-finished building of educational television, which is at the disposal of the parliament, for the document center of the Islamic Revolution. I agreed to the temporary delivery until the parliament is moved there. Mr. [Gholamreza] Safaei and Mr. [Hasan] Rouhani came. They recommended not to act to replace Mr. Rezaei.

In the evening, the chairman of the parliament had a meeting. Then I went to the Supreme Defense Council meeting. The discussion was about the Quds security battalions, which formed a ground force, and some of the military leaders and the defense commission are against it. Earth force evidence is not convincing. Then, Dr. Rohani and Mohsen Rezaei were discussed about forming a new headquarters for Mr. Rezaei as my successor, and it was rejected. It was decided to use the existing headquarters. Mr. Rouhani again opposed his replacement.

After the meeting, I gave a TV interview. We had a meeting of the heads of forces. They are disappointed with the increase in oil prices. There was a discussion about measures to secure foreign exchange and opposition to exporters' excessive oil exports. We didn't get anywhere. I arrived home late.
