Continuation of the Serial Killings Trial and Pressure on the Judiciary

Complete Daily Entry:

At 10 a.m., I went to the Koushk office to use the swimming pool and sauna. I studied the actions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in reforming the ignorant society and elevating it to Medina al-Nabi, as well as the concepts of development and backwardness. In the evening and at night, I worked on revising the indexes of the Tafsir Rahnama – Volume 12, Surah Al-Mu’minun. I reviewed reports on the computer. There is no significant issue internally. The visit of Igor Sergeyev, the Russian Defense Minister, to Iran and discussions regarding arms cooperation have caused discontent among Western nations, leading to various interpretations and exaggerations. The cancellation of the secret agreement between Russia and the U.S. concerning Russia's refusal to sell weapons to Iran, after its exposure in the U.S., has intensified their concerns.

Bill Clinton's plan for reconciliation between Israel and the Palestinians is on the verge of complete failure; although Israel has not rejected it, the Palestinians have, stating it is unilateral, and they have a point. A meeting among the leaders of Israel, Palestine, and Egypt scheduled to take place in Cairo has also been canceled. Today, an explosion occurred in Tel Aviv, injuring 13 people, and Hamas claimed responsibility. In Gaza, two Israeli soldiers were killed in another explosion. There seems to be no solution to the Middle Eastern dilemma, and Israel is facing serious problems as the intifada continues.

For several days now, the serial killings trial has been underway in a closed session, with the counter-revolutionaries and Western nations engaging in intense negative propaganda. The leftists, liberals, and reformists are aligning themselves with these sentiments. There is significant pressure on the judiciary.
