Leaders of the Contemporary World Charity Institute visited. Mr. Habibollah Zanjani, the head of the institute, provided explanations about their charter, objectives, and strategies. They aim to conduct charitable activities through public donations and consultancy work; many are educated retirees. Mr. Ali Zadsar, a former representative from Jiroft, arrived. He is preparing to participate in the midterm elections and mentioned that President Seyyed Mohammad Khatami had, in a recent visit to Jiroft, seemingly supported his rival. However, he believes that due to the lack of significant action for Jiroft during this visit and a verbal mistake where Khatami referred to Jiroft as Jahrom multiple times—prompting shouts from the crowd—Jiroft may still secure votes. He also elaborated on the damages caused by drought and frost in the region and expressed grievances about Hossein Marashi, the representative from Kerman, claiming he is undermining him.

Deputies Amir Tehrani and Gholamhossein Bolandian from the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Interior arrived and shared insights on the problems facing the public, dissatisfaction, and insecurity, expressing concerns about the current conditions. They emphasized the need for actions to save the revolution and the country. Bolandian stated that when Abdullah Nouri was Minister of Interior during Khatami’s government, he had told Nouri and Khatami that some of Nouri's actions resembled those of an opposition figure, which Mustafa Tajzadeh claimed was a characteristic of civil society where a deputy minister criticizes his minister and superior. He felt that the governors were discouraged during their meeting.

In the evening, Mr. Khouri, the manager of helicopter operations and pilots at the Republic Base, visited. He is retired, and at my recommendation, the leader ordered that he be granted a rank, which has not yet been issued, and he also faces housing issues. I officiated the wedding of the daughter of one of the guards, Mr. Shabani. Mohsen, the head of the Expediency Council's presidency office, had a working lunch with me. Fati also came, and we discussed her knee issues and family matters.
