Full Entry of the Day:

The Assembly of Experts had a session today. We completed the general judicial policies. Regarding the review of the Parliament's interpretation of the Press Law, which was sent to the Assembly after being opposed by the Guardian Council, I stated that it had been sent to the committees for review.

I completed my tasks until sunset, and at Maghrib, I attended the inauguration of the seminar organized by the International Union of Women's Organizations in the Islamic World, focusing on "Challenges Facing Muslim Women in the Early 21st Century" at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs research center. Fatemeh, the president of the Iranian Women’s Solidarity Association, provided a report. I spoke about the social challenges that Muslim women will face in the coming century, identifying the most significant threats as the lack of understanding of Islam and the influence of foreign cultures.

After the session, I had a brief meeting with several academic and cultural figures from the Arab world who had come for the Palestine conference. I welcomed them and emphasized the need for planning to continue the intifada. It is clear that Israel is unwilling to concede, and any retreat from the intifada would be dangerous. They expressed gratitude for Iran's coherence and commitment to the issues of Palestine and Lebanon, particularly acknowledging my role as a central figure in this policy.

The European Union has officially recognized the genocide of Armenians in former Turkey, angering Turkey. Previously, the U.S. Congress also sought to recognize this, but under pressure from Turkey, President Bill Clinton intervened. In contrast to U.S. policy, the European Union has called for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state soon.

My sisters, Tahereh and Sediqe, came to visit. I hadn't seen them for a while. Tahereh also has heart and eye ailments. She mentioned that her chest pains had worsened tonight; I advised her not to return to Nough tomorrow and to stay so that a doctor could examine her. They stayed here for the night.
