Mr. [Gholamreza] Aghazadeh, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization, came and provided a report on the progress of scientific and technical projects. Professor [Ruhollah] Ramazani, an Iranian scholar who has lived in the United States for fifty years, arrived with his wife. Dr. Amiri came for an interview regarding the continuation of the war after the liberation of Khorramshahr and the MacFarlane issue and relations with the U.S. I explained on all three topics. He mentioned that he intends to address these issues in the third volume of his book and noted that the fair-minded researchers in America believe that you are the architect of the détente policy and that during your time, progress has been better. I instructed Mr. Sadegh Kharrazi to prepare a comprehensive report on the MacFarlane affair with the collaboration of Mohsen, [the CEO of the Islamic Revolution Publishing Office].

A group of Kerman clerics from Qom Seminary came. They are the central council of the Combatant Clergy Association of Kerman. They provided a report on their activities, and I spoke to them. I asked each of them about their studies and their situation. They requested assistance for the [Combatant Clergy Association of Kerman]. They had lunch and prayed together.
