In Afghanistan, the disagreement between the United Nations and the Taliban over women's employment has escalated. The UN plans to use women for its bread-making and nutrition programs for 300,000 people in Kabul, while the Taliban oppose women's work outside the home.

In Mashhad, the speech session of Mr. Mohammad Khatami, the President, for the Second of Khordad supporters faced attacks from Hezbollah members due to the lack of observance of ethical norms, resulting in injuries to several people.
