Meeting with Hassan Rouhani and discussions regarding two crucial resolutions of the Supreme National Security Council concerning the United States and Sunni affairs, which Ayatollah Khamenei did not approve.

A meeting with Hassan Rouhani for discussions and consultations regarding two extremely important resolutions of the Supreme National Security Council related to the United States and Sunni affairs, which Ayatollah Khamenei did not approve, and the government's strategy to present them to the cabinet, which ultimately did not yield results.

Continued consultations with Masih Mohajeri, this time complaining about the lack of proper control over political figures (it seems that Masih Mohajeri is referring to Ayatollah Khamenei).

A meeting with Asadollah Badamchiyan, Ahmad Tavakkoli, and Mohammad Nabi Habibi, with Ahmad Tavakkoli recounting Ayatollah Khamenei's pessimism towards the Sixth Majlis (Parliament).

A meeting with members of the Mojahedin groups with Hashemi.

A meeting with Seyed Mottahar Kazemi, the elected representative of Khalkhal and Kosar in the Sixth Majlis, expressing concern about the possible rejection of his credentials, which the Sixth Majlis later did reject.

Ayatollah Khamenei's warning to influential members of the Sixth Majlis not to amend the Press Law, which the Majlis ignored, leading to the subsequent issuance of a written decree by the Supreme Leader in this regard and ensuing political controversies.

Dr. Hassan Rouhani (Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council and Head of the Strategic Research Center of the Expediency Discernment Council) came. We discussed the future situation in Syria. The possibility of instability and significant changes in Israeli affairs is serious. He said that because the Leader has not approved some of the resolutions of the Supreme National Security Council, including the resolutions related to America and Sunni affairs, with the suggestion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government has decided to review and approve some of the issues approved by the Supreme National Security Council in a government commission using Article 137. I said that the Leader is aware and does not pay much attention to it. We also discussed the Strategic Research Center, including its financial regulations and bylaws.

Mr. Masih Mohajeri (Presidential Advisor and Editor-in-Chief of the Jomhuri-ye Eslami newspaper) came. He spoke about the Leader's weak performance in controlling extremist politicians and asked that the issue be taken more seriously. In the afternoon, Efat came to my office to watch the burial ceremony of Hafez al-Assad on satellite TV. It was well-organized, but the presence of heads of state was low. Mostly ministers and lower-ranking officials attended; the Iranian President attended.

In the evening, Messrs. Asadollah Badamchiyan, Ahmad Tavakkoli, and Mohammad Nabi Habibi came and said that they still don't understand the reason for my withdrawal from the Majlis, but Mr. Badamchiyan said it was a very good move. I said that I haven't announced the main reason for my withdrawal. Mr. Tavakkoli said that he had met with the Leader and that after seeing the election of the permanent presiding board, the Leader has become pessimistic about the Majlis.

A group of members of the Mojahedin groups and families of Mojahedin martyrs came. Mr. Habibollah Asgaroladi (Secretary-General of the Mojahedin of the Islamic Revolution Party) gave a report. I also spoke about the sincerity of Islamic fighters during the struggle and defense and emphasized the need to maintain sincerity and avoid selfishness.

Mr. Seyed Mottahar Kazemi, the representative of Khalkhal, came. He was worried about the possible rejection of his credentials in the Majlis due to the special circumstances of the Khalkhal elections. Syrian issues are at the top of the news, and Rifaat al-Assad's opposition to Bashar's

presidency is considered important, and American newspapers have sided with him; his reformist slogans are attractive to the West. Today, the South Korean President went to North Korea; after 45 years, a move towards rapprochement between the two Koreas has emerged.

On the IRNA news telex, a special report states that some members of the Majlis have said that higher authorities in the Majlis have warned representatives not to amend the Press Law. If true, it must have been the Leader who said it. A two-urgency bill with 100 MPs' signatures was supposed to be presented tomorrow.
